Thames City Cruise

Four months a go, we booked the date in April for a Thames city cruise. Hope for nice and warm Summer weather, apparently the sun is still bit shy.

Despite the rain and breeze, it won't stop us enjoying beautiful scenery.





And get pampered with a glass champagne and canapes, we also enjoy live music on boat.



Go to the upper deck, which allow me to take lots more of beautiful shoot.

Tribute to Lady Thatcher

New Look!

I have been eagerly to share a shiny new look Anna Lou of London website. It looks more sleek and luxury with better interface. Fancy to have a little tour, hop on here >

You might notice a few changes on homepage. We put all attributes on site header, creating some negative space. It is also easier for mobile version. Anna Lou of London logo set on the centre to establish the brand. You might also notice that the layout has slightly changed. We keep the top navigation bar on grey, maximize the area for slide show, replace press area with only a simple and effective as seen in bar, and have three small banner underneath. Moreover, the fonts and colours are more consistent and restricted refer to the brand guidelines. For signature detail, we set up A crown pattern from Anna Lou brand guidelines as a home background.

We wish the customer a convenient experience while shopping online in our website. We wanted the website which easy to navigate without clicking too much or scrolling too far. How you manage your thumbnail page is important for customer's buying decision. Thumbnail page is a page when people take a quick snap number of items you have. So, you might want to perform best touch to gain people attention. How we did it? Firstly, you might able to see a group picture supported with small colour boxes. You might interested on some items, mouse over the box and you will see the active picture has changed. Click one of your favorite items, it leads you to product description.

We are trying to give alternative images as much as we can. We have a grid of dropdown bar for product description in purpose to avoid too much scrolling on one page.  

We also updated the newsletter template. It follows the basic element from our website. On footer, we are giving more access to social media platforms, such as: twitter, instagram and facebook. Here's the mock up:

We have a few improvements planned in the near future, so be sure to stay tune!

Website Design: Vimadev

To welcome the first day of Spring, I’ve been following along with excitement as Victor established his website, vimadev.com. Few past weeks, we both working on IT service website. While he is dealing with technical and programming stuff, my responsibility is designing website interfaces and all graphic elements. And also contributing in creative solutions regarding visual interface and user experience. 

Vimadev

This is a web and system services website building by Victor, featured with his profile, skill and education, and online portfolio. This particular design incorporates the HTML and CSS in a simple and flexible way. Victor found a way to adjust the layout automatically adaptable in any template. Either small version for mobile screen or large desktop size.  He proved to me that coding can be so much fun!

We decided keyboard is perfect to resemble what this website is about. I bring this idea into the design of icons.

Essentials icons

Wiki

Wiki is one of sub content of vimadev.com. Basically, it is a server software, used to build hierarchical content archives. Victor wanted to keep the hierarchy consistent with current wiki media. However,I always find abundant possibilities to explore creativity in design.

Here's little look at first draft:

Regex

Another sub content of vimadev.com, Regex is a regular expression tester, built to help developer test the syntax. It was programmed in PHP, HTML5, Javascript and CSS3.

Sum up: ALOL New Collections

You know the feeling when you have been so much into one whole progress of project? 

I know it so well!

Past few months, I have involved in Anna Lou of London new collections from visualising the ideas until launched them online. Early months working in ALOL, I created mock-up from sketches, attaching colors and dimension. 

Few alterations came up during process while receiving feedback from company. 

When it finalised, we are ready to receive the samples. The quality of samples was checked and most important try to wear them. 

The samples are ready to photographed.

Jewellery Photo Shoot

I know it's gonna be a whirlwind of a week when I have decided to take freelance job as a jewellery photographer. Juggling as a graphic designer in two jewellery companies in weekdays, I am literally just have weekend left to get them photographed and edited. But beyond super busy time, I know it will be worth for all hard works! 

I have a basic photography skill how to photograph model, products, landscape. And I have done photography project for events back in Indonesia. However, this jewellery photo shoot for Anna Lou of London is my first commercial still life photo shoot. It is a huge chance for me to develop my skills, so I have to get it nailed! I am preparing equipments such as: camera, a jewellery tent, lighting, tripod. And also reading useful tutorials and lots of brainstorming for relevant references.
